Afghanistan's Holiday Greeting: Obama War Drama

Do Americans remember this tv scene last week? Two days before this year's Thanksgiving celebration, President Barack Obama held the first White House dinner in Washington D.C.

Obama now intends to "finish the job" in Afghanistan.
During this lavish, star-studded event attended by prominent guest, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Sing, Obama announced during a brief news conference that he would "finish the job" in Afghanistan.
Apparently these ominous words imply that Obama possesses a magical wand to bring an end to eight years of war between U.S. Armed Forces, the Taliban, and al-Qaeda.
Obama cautioned, however, that down the road, "Afghanistan would have to provide for its own security."
In reference to waning support for sending more troops to Afghanistan, he said, "I feel confident when the American people hear a clear rationale for what we're doing there and how we intend to achieve our goals, they will be supportive. …
